I love this place. The food is great as is the staff. Our favorite waiter always remembers what we order since the second time we ever set foot in the place. That's pretty incredible. The Torres Burrito with green sauce is my favorite. Very reasonable, delicious, and it's so big I usually take half of it home for lunch the next day. On Friday or Saturday it can be quite busy and somewhat loud, so I prefer to eat here during the week.

I'm still looking for a good Mexican meal in Grants Pass. Tonight I ordered the Portabello Fajitas -- it looked so good on the menu -- and when it arrived I was so disappointed. Yes, there was asparagus, yes, there were portabello slices, and the usual onions and peppers, and they added squash slices. All in all, a good idea, with the typical plate of refried beans, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, and rice. But they doused the veggies in some sort of brown sauce that *way* overpowered the veggies, and there was no escaping that sauce. The veggies came sizzling hot and overcooked, to my taste, but I could have been okay with the overcooked-ness if not for the sauce that was not to be avoided. My recommendation to readers: ask for NO sauce if you order this dish. And no one ever came to inquire how I was doing, whether I liked it or not. I was hoping for a chance to give some feedback. Later while I sat at the table writing this, the waiter came to clear the table and asked if my meal was good. I told him I didn't care for it. He laughed and walked away. The chips and salsa were good.

Not so good. First time here and will probably be my last. Had a reservation for 6:30 and did not get our food until 8:15, causing us to miss the movie we were going to attend. Servers not very attentive at all-we had to ask for things such as silverware, drinks, chip and salsa several times. Just a general lack of not taking Customer Service very seriously. Food OK...chips tasted weird to me and margarita wasn't the greatest.

Service sucked but cell service must have been great! I thought I stop and have some late lunch. It was around 2 in the afternoon. The lunch was ok I had an enchilada and tamale lunch plate. There were 2 other tables in addition to me so a total of 3. The other tables had already eaten. My chips and salsa came out fast along with my iced tea. I had to wait about 5 minutes after I put down my menu to be asked about my order. My food came out fairly fast but I was never checked on again. Nobody was in the front of the house for me to grab until the phone rang at the front desk and the waitress appeared with her cell phone in hand texting. I waived at her and asked for sour cream by then I was 1/2 way done with my meal. She got it for me right away. (Kudos) When I finished my meal I had to wait another 7 minutes for my bill. I saw her with her cell phone again as I got up to go to the restroom. When I came back to my table my bill was there. She obviously was to busy for me today. Only one order to go came in while I was there for the 45 minutes.

Stumbled onto this place on a recent trip back from the coast. Staff was very friendly and efficient and the food was great. Would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.

OK let me just say I have eaten in this place more times than I would like to admit because my grandmother seems to think this is good Mexican food. I would have given them only one star but the service was really friendly and the atmosphere is actually pretty nice but the food is awful. It is salty and taste nothing like the Mexican food I've had all of the country and in Mexico. I don't want to sound mean but it taste like dog food, Alpo. I literally have a hard time eating five or six bytes of my food and usually throw all of it away just to make my grandma feel good but this place needs new cooks or new recipes I'm not sure which maybe both.

Not what we expected. Order wasn't done right. Took forever to answer the phone and when got there to pick up, place was near empty. Was always a lot more crowded when it was Las Fajitas and the food was much better.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in GP. Always great service and consistent quality of food. Best beans and rice ever! Beautiful decor. Full bar. Used to be downtown and lost customers in the move. Great service and friendly staff!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
